SwingNote Privacy Policy
Effective date: ◯ ◯, 2026 (to be filled in at publication)
This policy applies to the iPhone app "SwingNote" (the "App") provided by the independent developer AnagoApps (the "Developer"). It applies to both TestFlight builds and the App Store release.
1. Personal information
The App requires no account and does not obtain your name, email address, or location. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The free version does show advertising, and the advertising provider's SDK handles device identifiers and similar data to serve ads. See Section 9.
2. Where your data is stored
Everything you create in the App — swing videos, drawn lines and text, notes, and settings — is stored only on your iPhone. No third party, including the Developer, can access it.
Videos, annotations, and notes stored inside the App are excluded from iCloud Backup because of their size. They are not carried over when you move to a new device or restore from a backup. To keep a video, save it to the Photos app (see Section 5).
3. Network communication
The App's only network activity is fetching advertisements and handling purchases of the paid version through the App Store. The Developer operates no server, and your practice data — swing videos, annotations, and notes — is never sent anywhere.
4. Device features
The App asks for only three permissions:
- Camera: to record swing videos.
- Microphone: to record audio such as the sound of impact. If you decline, videos are recorded without sound.
- Add to Photos: to save recorded and exported videos to the Photos app. The App does not ask for permission to read your photo library.
The App does not use location services and does not write location data into videos.
5. Saving to the Photos app
Recorded videos are also saved automatically to the Photos app (this can be turned off in Settings). Only the video is saved; annotations and notes are not included.
Depending on your iPhone's settings, such as iCloud Photos, videos in the Photos app may be uploaded to Apple's cloud. That is a function of your device settings, not something the App transmits.
6. Importing videos
When you import a video from the Photos app, the App uses the iOS photo picker and receives only the videos you select at that moment. It does not ask for access to your whole photo library.
7. Sharing and exporting
Sharing and exporting happen only when you choose to, through the iOS share sheet. How the destination handles the video is governed by that app's or service's terms. The name of a shared file includes the recording date and time.
8. Deleting your data
Deleting the App removes all data stored inside it (videos, annotations, notes, and settings) from your iPhone. Videos saved to the Photos app remain; delete them from Photos if you no longer want them.
9. Advertising
The free version shows advertisements served through Google AdMob. To display, measure, and protect ads from fraud, the advertising provider may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier), IP address, approximate region, and app usage information. This data is handled under the provider's privacy policy (Google Privacy Policy).
If iOS asks for permission to track you, every feature of the App works whether or not you allow it. Without permission, ads are not based on your interests. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Ads are never shown while you are recording, playing back, comparing, or annotating. Your practice data — videos, annotations, and notes — is never shared with the advertising provider.
10. Paid version (in-app purchase)
A one-time purchase that removes advertising is offered (see the App Store listing for availability). Purchases go through Apple's App Store; the Developer never receives your payment details. Apple keeps the purchase record, and it can be restored with the same Apple Account.
11. Changes to this policy
Changes will be announced on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
12. Contact
For questions about this policy or the App, use the contact on the Support page.
Messages sent through the feedback form on this website are stored only so the Developer can read them (the message, any contact and device you chose to enter, the time sent, and a short token derived from the connection to limit abuse). The IP address itself is not stored. Storage is a Cloudflare database. The App itself never sends anything to this form.
